My Tonka has developed what i beleive to be a ear infection. It always sounds like there is a bunch of fluid in it, and it is very swollen. I am planning on getting him to the vet asap, but in the meantime i have some drops on hand, and was wondering if someone could tell me which one would be the best to use, and dosages. I have Otimax, animax, and Gentamicin.
Agree...hold off on any meds.
If you were to use one of the three products you mentioned, it would likely be otimax but vet may Rx something stronger...don't want to inhibit his view of the ear canal. Also vet may put dog on short-term steriods if ear is very inflammed...sometimes in combo with the a/b drops and sometimes oral pills, depending on severity of swelling and individual doctor's choice. It must be painful for him, poor boy.

dont put anymore liquid in the ear....
if you can "hear" liquid in the ear dont put anymore in their....when you clean ears you should never put so much in that you cant get it out again....this is a very common mistake when cleaning the ears....put your thumb at the base of the ear and try rotaing it up and wiping the fluid away...when you clean the ear do the same thing...place your thumb at the base....dont just pour in...i wish vets would be more care in explaining how to clean ears...
you may need to do this a few times to get all the fluid out...
