dragginf hind legs
Submitted by booger2869 on May 21, 2010 - 1:46pmHello everyone...Long time..I have a question abou tmr.booger..He got up thi mornign well NOON :) and is now having a hard time holding himself up with his hind legs kinda like no strength in his back legs ..He is in no pain just falls over and gets up walks ..sits any ideas

Definitely call the vet
my old lab mix has neurological problems that cause her back legs to be very weak. One test the vet has us do is to flip her back foot under, so the top of the foot is resting on the ground, and see how long it takes to flip it right. It should be an immediate response, they automically correct their foot. With Bridget, the response is delayed, she'll keep her foot flipped for a second or 2 before she corrects it.
Maybe your dog just slept on his legs funny and they fell asleep?

why would you not go to the vet....
immediatly first of all it could be a stroke....a pinched nerve....a blood clot....this is some thing to take seriouse....i would be heading to the vet asap....
