Does anyone else have problems with feeding? Our bully goes insane!

Let me first give you a little background before I ask my question. We started our 8 week old male bully on Blue Buffalo Puppy (slowly switched over 14 day period from Puppy Chow the breeder gave us). He was doing ok, but the loose stools kept getting worse. He was gaining a couple pounds per week, drinking plenty of water and his energy level was decent, but the stools got so bad at one point he was litterally spraying the grass. So off to the vet we went again (3rd trip for loose stools). The vet put him on 3 cans of Hills W/D food (go figure). Change his food suddenly and expect his loose stool to go away? But surprisingly they did (along with some medication of course). Anyway, my concern was his response to the Hills food. He went crazy at feeding times, I mean nuts, so I figured he must really like it. After checking the ingredients though, I just wasn't pleased with it so on the final can we incorporated some Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream. He is now on TOTW completely. The stools are nice and firm, but his craziness during feeding time continues. He was never crazy while he was on Blue Buffalo. He acts like he hasn't been fed in days at every meal, and then acts like he's still starving when he done. The food is GONE in under 2 minutes. He's a mad man! He gets a full cup 3 times a day! This all started once the vet put him on the Hills food, but seems to have continued on TOTW. Has anyone experienced this? And does anyone have any advice on how to calm them down at feeding time?

is 3 cups a day enough for a young puppy?

I'm asking because I don't know.

Most bulldogs wolf down their food without chewing it. I only have one that eats slowly. They rest gobble their food down in under 2 minutes and search around for any that may have fallen out of the bowl.

YES!!! All five of my

bullies eat like they have never been fed!  I have the slow feed bowls.  They are stailess steel, I believe JB pet wholsale carries them.  It helps, but they still eat in less than 2 minutes.  I have started adding frozen green beans to their food , I hope this fills them up a little bit more!

OR

Try using a puppy feeder. It should take him longer to eat that way

Or...

you can spread his food around on a cookie sheet so it takes longer to eat. Probably the canned food tasted so good that he's gotten used to wolfing it down. W/D is a great food for firming them up, it's very bland and a lot easier than cooking hamburger and rice for every meal. We feed TOTW PS and our guys love it too, great coats, no tear stains, etc.
