Diarrhea in 2 week old pups

Hi, My 2 week old litter of 5 puppies has had diarrhea on and off for the last 2 days. They are feeding well on mom and are still putting on weight. Sorry to be yuck! but it ranges from loose cottage cheese consistencey and colour to dark chocolate colour. It is not squirting but is very loose and smelly. They are feeding every 3 hours roughly, sometimes less if on mom and waking in the night a few times too. Could it be from overfeeding? They are still very active and look healthy. Mom is just on her normal diet also.
Thanks in advance.

Yes trying that too.

Looks like it works for a while then it starts again. Thanks:>

No signs of Mastitis

Thanks for your help Elaine, There doesnt seem to be any signs of Mastitis, No swelling or heat/redness. I will have her milk tested shortly if no change. Yes she is getting extra nutrition, sorry just meant no change in her diet that should have affected the pups:) Never had this in a young litter before, only in older pups.Should I have a faecal swab done?

Could be from overfeeding, could be that mom has

mastitis. I think I'd get her milk checked. Pups should be feeding about every 4 hours with perhaps 6hr sleep overnight. You said mom is on her regular diet...is she getting enough calories? Make sure she doesn't surrender her health and vitality to the pups. happy.gif
