Cherry eye tacking vs. snipping??

Which one is preferred and why? Benefits/consequences for either?

i am going to snip......

i have been reading and looking on line at every ones answers and i find that almost 50% of the tacked cherry eye pops back out either a few weeks after surgery to a year or two...i have decided to just get it over with!!! and have it sniped....
just my thoughts....
and the cost is very differnet which i cant understand but you know vets....

My guys were tacked but...

I've heard that the snip is just as good. Some say it causes dry eye, but I don't believe that's been proven. Some vets can do the snip without using general anesthesia. If I had to do it again, I'd do the snip.
