charlie poops

Hello..Charlie has diareaha now.. went from soft poop to diareah.
Took him to the vets,, vet gave him an antibiotic and some flora suppliment... said to ad some activia type yogurt to his diet.
Charlie is fine ..vet said he looks like a good healthy boy..and if the poops continue to switch him to medical high fiber food..(don't want to do this).Charlie weighs 25 pounds..
Good to know this should clear up within 10 days...

Nutura manufactures its own foods.

Not sure about the other companies.

wilson had soft poop.....

all the time till i went raw....for a couple of months it would be ok then it would go soft for a couple of weeks ....i gave up and at 6 months went raw...his poops are great....
no matter what brand you buy of kibble from the 10 dollar bag to the 60....grains are bought on a price...so their is always a flux of high quality grains to low quality grains in the food.
so this flux in grains may be what is causing the soft poops. i feel it was a big part in wilson problem....
also remember the dog food companies buy the cheapest meal possible....meal is beaks, hoofs, feathers, tumors and meat not fit for human consmption...
i wont feed my dogs what i cannot eat....anymore.

hardly any.....

use humane grade in their kibble....i have done hours of research....did you know that some of that high priced food is bagged in the same place as cheap food....thats why the big recall on food...alot is done outside the usa...and unless you dig you wont know who...if their is any thing labled meal or by product its the waste from the slaughter house floor....
california natural herring and sweet potatoe uses herring meal....which can be anything not used for human consumption....

Antibiotics give Isabella soft or loose stool every single time.

How often has Charlie been on antibiotics? That could be half his problem!! I say try a good food like Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Fish or Venison. Give it 6 weeks to really show a difference, and add 1 tablespoon of fat free PLAIN yogurt (I buy Walmart brand) in EACH meal. That will help him out tremendously in the diarrhea and or soft stool area. Don't give any treats at all, just the food and yogurt. If he isn't back to normal after 6 weeks you will need to try another food until you hit on one that works for him:-) Don't be afraid to go grain free, I did it with Isabella as a puppy and she is just fine!

It's just a matter of finding a food that works for him

There are dog foods that use only human grade ingredients, many of them actually. I would start with a food with only one protein/one carb and work your way around until you find one that works. Sometimes it takes time - california natural works for my guys (the lamb and rice) Cooper had diarrhea for 3 solid years until we finally found a food that worked.
