We just brought a new male bullie puppy (19 weeks) Cooper, into our home and have a 2 1/2 year old female, Emma.... (pregnant???!!!?? surgically implanted 2 weeks ago) the new bullie, Cooper bites terrible and is starting to bite Emma. Should I get involved with their play or let Emma handle this?
COOPER
EMMA
thanks!
thank you both for the adivce - i forgot how much getting a new puppy is like having a new baby! This little guy is a pooping machine . He poops outside and I think he is ok to play for 10 minutes, but in those 10 minutes he poops again... he poops in his kennel too! Never had a dog who would do that, so at a loss for what to do to get him to realize he is only suppose to poop outside!!! His grandpa is "Cherokee Legend Rock" so I though he would be born with higher standards!!!! LOL

shorten up his crate
he must have too much room in there. Only needs enought ot turn around for now. He shouldn't poop in the area he sleeps in.

I have eight dogs, and have tried
to just let them work things out on their own, however, I wouldn't let the puppy bite her so that she reacts aggressively. My Spike lets my two 8 month old puppies bite him all over, but they can get really rough. I step in and correct by making them settle, therefore changing the focus. Puppy bites are nasty, their teeth are like razors. If she is pregnant, I wouldn't let him near her without supervision.
