BULLIE GOT A UTI after AI
Submitted by shabbyshoppin on April 21, 2010 - 12:03amLast time I had my bullie AI'd she got a terrible UTI and ended up with no puppies... She is going to go into heat again in the next week or so and noticed she has another UTI - I am wondering if she gets them when going into heat and we missed it till after the AI last time... She is on antibiotic and doing great... My question is... I read on here once about what to give Bullie before heat to ensure they are healthy and have healthy pregnancy... can't find the post. Can anyone give me suggestions... vitamins, folic acid???
Also considering implanting... any pros / cons you want to share would be great.

it's not abnormal to get a uti with a cycle
since they are swollen and can not always empty.
Start her on folic acid now! I would also put her on 3 weeks of clavamox 1 week before breeding and 2 weeks after.
