Bulldog Temp over 103
Submitted by HJWhalen on May 22, 2010 - 10:02pmHi does anyone know if a stone can cause a temp? Bentley was panting for well over 24hrs. His temp. was over 103. We were out of town so I had to call DR.Navin and we game him some aspirin. The weird thing is he was holding his leg off the ground tucked into his body. Bentley had been dripping urine that day to. We'll the next day no fever and he was peeing not dripping. could this have been a stone?
All sorts of things
Can cause an elevation in body temp. Pain and stress (to name a few). It very well may have been some type of stone (given the urinary symptoms). I would have a urine sample checked (if you haven't, already). If he passed a stone, you were lucky. If there are more up there, or forming, you may not be so lucky again.
