Bulldog Cold??
Submitted by Anonymous on April 21, 2010 - 12:03amOver the weekend, Chunky developed a runny nose, started sneezing and has a reverse snort type of thing where he's inhaling through his nose making a snorting sound. Kind of sounds like he's trying to hack up some phlegm.
The discharged from his nose has no color, just clear. His appetite and energy level is still normal.
Should there be any cause for concern or is this just a little cold?

just be allergies. Runny nose and sneezing. As long as the discharge has no color and he seems fine otherwise I would just keep an eye on him

Agree with Tom...
Bulldogs don't get colds actually, but they do get URI's and its likely allergies. Just watch that the discharge remains light and "clear" and his energy remains consistent. If they change notably, best to have the vet check for some infection and head it off before it becomes pneumonia or such.
