I have a question about breeding a female. My friend has a female she is wanting to re-breed. Is it not true that she can only breed the female twice? Or is it acceptable to breed more than that? I told her i thought it was only twice but i was wanting to get some other opinons. Thanks for the help.
While its not a rule...
most bulldog bitch owners feel that cutting open a bitch for c-section delivery twice is enough! Besides the stress of any pregnancy, there are optimal ages of 'not less than two years old or not more than five years old' from which to safely choose for breeding. Breeding outside these suggested parameters often results in a small liter with more help needed by the humans in caring for the pups.

depends on the bitches health, age, size of last litter...
there are many variables in making that decision :O)
