Then her breathing seems worse but the weather is very human. Thats another thing were confuse r they suppose to have breathing problems and mucus this early. We go to the vet Fri but I don't know if we should wait that long. Please someone help!! Also I am from Bay city Michigan does anyone know a good vet or what to look for in their Cordentalls.
thanks everyone!
I thank everyone that responded. Dr Carpenter is definately what everyone makes him out to be! I also think if you take your puppy there you will find, by the time you add in gas, and the time traveling he is still probably going to be cheaper than any generic vet. I will also add that i have never been treated better by a doctor in my entire life, even my personal doctor. His staff, his facility, and the doctor himself, are second to no one in my opinion. I urge you, please keep your appoitment, you will not regret it!!

Go to your appointment with Dr. Carpenter at Family Friends
then, later if you don't want to make the drive for routine things like shots, etc. that is perfectly fine with them. His office has MANY clients that drive long distances and they are more than willing to provide any needed info for your local vet.

If your puppy has any non-routine issues, you need to make the trip.

DITTO!! We were just at Dr. Carpenter's tonight.
We have been taking bulldogs to Dr. Carpenter for 10 years and we drive over 2 hours. He is not only the best, most knowledgeable bulldog vet in Michigan but he is also an extremely nice man!

Tonight, we had an appointment at his office. The time (over an hour) and care that both he and his staff spent with us, examining, testing, explaining, and answering ANY and all questions we had was beyond exceptional.
If you have a bulldog, and are within any reasonable distance of Grand Rapids I can assure you that you will be happy you made the drive!

I agree a hundred percent.
Get that puppy some supervision. You need to watch everything it puts in its mouth! Not only can it be poisonous, it can also cause an intestinal blockage and kill your puppy that way. They are fragile little things, though they look like little bulldozers!
Best of luck! And yes, show that cat where its food is....up on top of something the puppy can't reach!

Puppy eating everything
We watch our puppy very well ,we have a very big back yard she does have a playpen and she moves it we have only had her two weeks and we realize what she can get into and we do try to prevent it. The cat food was up and she knocked it down twice. If you have a puppy then you remember how quick they r. Thank for the advice

We have an appointment with Dr Capenter set up. The drive might be a little too long. We will see. I think I might have to look at something closer for her health. But for right now we need someone that knows Bulldogs. Thank You

It might be a little drive, but
highly recomend Dr. Carpenter at Family friends veternarian hospital in grand rapids. He is in my opinion the best bulldog specialist in michigan, and as we all know it is crutial that you find a vet that is VERY familiar with the breed. I hope it helps you out, and if you choose them, it will be well worth the drive.

You need to be more attentive to your puppy!
She shouldn't be eating plants in the yard! She definitely shouldn't be eating any catfood!! Or cat poops!! Cat food is much higher in protein content than dog food and it can make a dog sick, no joke. If your puppy is getting about 1.5 to 2cups of puppy kibble each day, along with a good canine vitamin such as PetTabs, that along with plenty of fresh water is all she needs at this age.
Letting her loose in the yard to scrounge up whatever catches her interest, bugs and plants, can not only cause her to get sick, but if something is poisonous and you don't know it, she will die. Its a whole lot cheaper to buy some lightweight wooden picket fencing at Home Depot or Lowes to put around the flowerbeds than to pay an Emergency Room to pump her stomach, keep her on fluids and in the hospital for a couple days!
Cats can jump up for their food...show your cat where the food is (on top of the clothes dryer for instance) and get it out of the reach of the puppy. Bulldogs may look sturdy on the outside but they can be very fragile on the inside.
