How long should you wait to walk them after eating? I usually walk Finn first and feed after but my neighbor sometimes walks him in the morning for me after Finn has eaten. Reading all this about bloat is making me very nervous.

But the last 6 years have been trouble free. I didn't know this was even an option at the time or I probably would have had her stomach tacked when she was spayed.

Re: Do you think it's a good idea to get the stomach tacked?
in some breeds where it is very common, they do that. I dont think necessary in a bulldog, unless they have bloated before.

Do you think it's a good idea to get the stomach tacked?
If the dog is under for surgery anyway such as for a spay? I wish I had thought of it when my girls were spayed.

Maizy had bloat as a puppy

Agree...wouldn't do anything unless dog has history of
problems with excessive gas or torsion.
