Fast her for a day

It's perfectly natural for dogs to fast for a day or two in the wild. Fasting will help her digestive tract return to normal and she should feel better again soon. This always does the trick for my dogs. Just make sure she stays hydrated.

this is what I do when my boys have it

do not give pumpkin or any sort of cheese this will just makes it worser, I've been there. Stick with boiled chicken and cook rice that is watered down like oatmeal. Give her pedialyte instead of water to keep her dehydrated and do this for a week until her poop firms up a bit, then introduce some soaked dog food to get her stomach adjust to it and slowly wean her out of the rice, then add some dry kibbles to her soaked food and then wean out of her soaked food.

As for her bums it would be irritated from the diarrhea and wiping so rub a thin layer of the medicated vaseline hand lotion as it has methol(?) so it will feel cool and she won't have to rub her bums raw.

Hope she feels better soon.

How old is she? You could use Immodium...

if she's not a young puppy. I give my guys one tablet and then another 8 hours later. I would also feed rice and boiled hamburger or chicken instead of cottage cheese.

I'm not sure if I would

give cottage cheese for an upset tummy either, when we are sick we stay away from milk based products. I'm sure there are more people on the board that would have more insight into this, but I think I would hold off unless you are giving an antibiotic and you are trying to repopulate intestinal flora.
