Bad breath
Submitted by Anonymous on April 21, 2010 - 12:11amHello all! My 4 month old puppy, Hugo, threw up a couple nights ago while my husband and I were asleep. We woke up to find the mess beside him crate and, thankfully, it seems to have just been a one time episode. He's doing fine now.
Though we've successfully cleaned everything up without a trace of scent or stain left, Hugo's had full on barf breath ever since. We've wiped his face and jowls really well, so I'm guessing the smell is coming up from his gut? He's been drinking a lot of water but the smell is just lingering in his mouth!
Can anyone offer me any advice on how to help him? Thanks in advance for the input!

make sure to clean around the gums and roof of the mouth. They sometimes have little areas under the lip that collects fur and food.

It may be caused by a stomach problem
Look inside his mouth and check around his gums and make sure there is no loose hair around his gums. That can sometimes cause bad breath.
