at Angell (MSPCA) in Jamaica Plain is a board certified opthamologist. I have seen him for cherry eye and having lashes frozen off. Before I had the freeze done, I got a second opinion and ended up going back to him. Very thorough and he is a perfectionist.

they have had cherry eye removed and eyelashes plucked.
Entropion surgery is relatively easy. The vet cuts out a crescent shaped piece of skin from the bottom eyelid & then sews it together, pulling down the lower eyelid.
I know Andover can do it. They will be much less expensive than Bulger.

I have been going to the Framingham vet recommended and been happy thus far, however others on the board recommended I go to an actual ophthalmologist as opposed to having my normal vet do the entropian surgery as it's tricker then cherry eye surgery.
Did you happen to have your bully have entropian surgery at Andover?

You should first try Andover Animal Hospital in Andover, MA 978-475-3600. They are very easy to get to from Boston, right up Rt. 93N. You should try to see Dr. Lindsey (You'll have to leave him a message and he'll call you back). He's pretty much retired but will usually see a bulldog. If you can't get him you should see Dr. Lincoln or Dr. Karamadi (sp).
If your dog has a very difficult issue Andover may refer you to Ruth M. Marrion at Bulger Animal Hospital 247 Chickering Rd. North Andover, MA 01845 978-687-7764
I've been using Andover for 13 years. They can very easily deal with cherry eye, entropion, distichea and corneal ulcers.

I must say even though it is more expensive there is an opthamologist at Tufts that I love. Very realistic about the breed errs on the side of caution and just had a great attitude about bulldogs in general. Her name is Dr Wilhovski. Not sure if that is spelled right.
