My SB Bully Gwylo is my first bully. But I recently lost a 155lb french mastiff that was plagued with allergies, ear infections and secondary infections due to his sores from scratching. His name was Moose and when we adopted him in May of 2003 he was on VD ultra (by science diet), staph injections twice a month 13 pills a day and a bath every other day with Sebolux and Allerseb-T shampoos. I took him to the vet school in Madison WI and we were told that he had something called Hyper Keratosis (sp) and said that we could control it but not cure it. We slowly moved Moose to grain free food and I read EVERYTHING I could get my hands on regarding raw food for dogs and cats. The grain free food helped abit. Once he was on raw food he was not itchy, not stinky, no more pills or injections, no more baths and best of all no more gooey ear infections. I have my Bull dog on grainfree and not raw only because he is in diapers and for the first week or so that may get diarrhea and I can't have him in diapers for any length of time while he has diarrhea. His little butt is already sensitive from being in diapers. I will take my week vacation this summer and put him on raw at that time and be there to get his butt clean and dry.

I don't know how the bullydog community feels about the raw food diet for bullys due to there sensitive tummies.
