Hello, all! I have been a long time 'reader' and a recent poster, but only on the Forum 1. I became a poster after our girl, Daisy, passed away, but haven't been a poster on Medical stuff since Daisy was, while the happiest, most energetic, loving bully, the one who had a lot of medical issues. But today, Chunk has us worrying and I would love all of your advice...
Daisy had torn her back ACL - she was SUPER active (thought she was a Lab). Chunk is also active, but in more of a lumbering way. Last night and this morning, he is limping on his front left leg. He can put a bit of weight on it, it seems to warm up, there is nothing in his paw, he likes massages, etc. In other words, he is not acting like it's more than a muscle strain, and isn't acting like our girl was when she tore her ACL (no weight on her leg)...but we want to be sure. We are taking him to the vet shortly, but wondered if there is anything else (other than restricting his movement) we should be looking for? The thing that is weird is that he was just walking along when he pulled up lame. He wasn't even exerting himself. And we have not had experience with front leg/shoulder/elbow injuries, just the back, so I'm wondering if there are a different set of issues for the front legs?
Thanks in advance to the wonderful bulldog community out there for your insight!

Seems like his elbow
This is what seems to be hurting him...has anyone had any experience with front "elbow" injuries?

Thanks, yes, it seems weird how it happened...
We checked his paw pads because it did seem really weird that he was just walking and then seemed to pull up lame. We can't see anything and he usually gets very sensitive when we touch his feet if he does have anything wrong with his paws. I'll try the salts...I just wasn't sure if there were any other common front leg injuries like this - we've only gone through ACL stuff...

i would think.....
because of the way you told how he hurt his leg.....i would really be checking the pads on his feet it sounds more like he stepped on a sharp stone or has some thing stuck their....bullies are pretty strong in the front they have a tendency to drive from the rear and thats acl tears....soak his foot in some epsom salt for a day or so and see how that goes....
