Hello to all, my bullys are 4 wks now. they are healthly and all about 2 1/2 pounds. I am wanting any tips on how to start weaning them on to solid food. they are eating off mom but I dont think that is enough for them.

I always start mine off with raw..either bravo, primal, or Nature's Variety. I usually will start them with the lamb, or rabbit. It is eaiser for me then soaking the kibble...and the stools are so much more firm..but you can soak the kibble. If you decide on kibble make sure it is a low protein(less then 25%) and low calicum and phos. I wouldn't use any milk just soak with water until soft.. I am sure they will gobble it down in less then 2 min's. Part of the reason I do the raw... I worry about them choking on the kibble. Then when they are 7 or 8 weeks old I introduce them to kibble( I use Nature Balance) sweet potato and fish and I don't have to soak it then..Mainly because they are still on the raw in between and they are just wanting something to crunch( and my feet isn't something I want crunched) anyway, hope this helps.. I am sure there are lots of bully advice and all the advice should be great..

put a little bit on your finger for them to try and then gradually increase it. Within 1 week you will have them fully weaned. I always start weaning at 3 weeks and have them totally weaned by 4 weeks.

They will be 4 weeks old Friday. I mixed some Esbilac with baby rice cereal and a bit of chicken baby food. They loved it. In about a week I will start introducing soaked ground up puppy kibble to the mixture. In about two weeks time they will be getting just the soaked kibble mixed with either Esbilac or goat's milk with water added.

Soak some kibble and mix it into a liquid substance

That's how I do it too Cati.
My pups were 6 weeks old on Tuesday.
