How To Stop Stinky Dog Farts

Urgh! What’s that smell?  Did it just come out of the dog? Gross! We’ve been blaming rotten smells on the dog for many years, but what can you do if you’ve got a legitimate problem with dog farts?

There are several factors that can lead to stinky dog farts. Gas can build up when your dog swallows large amounts of air while gulping down his food. Certain types of food can give your dog the toots – beans, cauliflower, cabbage, and soybeans are all highly fermentable foods. It can come from food intolerance  with sensitivities to wheat and corn. As well, dog farts can also be caused because of malabsorption syndromes, due to the incomplete digestion of carbohydrates. And then, some dogs are more prone to farting… if you own a Boxer, you know what we’re talking about. So let’s talk about some things you can do to minimize the bad odors in your home.
