Please keep my pretty foster girl, Rory in your thoughts and prayers. She is having surgery today - nares, spay and rectal polyp removal.
I love this little girl - seriously considering keeping her. She was found in the middle of a busy 5 lane road at 1am a little over a month ago. Nobody has come forward to claim her - she's had pups (can see multiple c-section scars), we think she was dumped.
But she is the sweetest love bug you've ever met.
awww saying prayers now for the little dumpling
I'll never understand how people can be so mean

Thank you!
Thank you!
What a little beauty
And I love her name - are you a Gilmore Girls fan?
Waves of positive thoughts coming her way. Hang in there mom.
Oh, and give Vern a smooch from his superfan.
Celine - I wish we lived
Celine - I wish we lived closer, I feel like you and I would be fast-friends. My daughter and I are HUGE fans of Gilmore Girls, lol....she owns the whole series.
I named her Rory, because on the way to pick her up I saw a rainbow and thought her name needed to be inspired by that. Someone suggested Dawn (which wasn't really all that fabulous), so I named her Aurora - which means dawn. Aurora or Rory for short :)
I will give Vern some lovin' from you :)
I totally agree!
Funny how you can feel a "connection" with some people just from a few messages on a board. Love, LOVE the name Rory :)
Believe me, if I lived closer, you'd never be short a bully sitter!
I still enjoy my Vern calendar so much! In fact, I "speak" to Vern most days - I'll explain. He's on the fridge and I regularly say things like "So, Vern, what's good today." , "Vern, I'm not feeling what's in this fridge right now", lol. OK, so I'm weird, but in the absence of my own bully, Calendar Vern is filling the gap and enbling me to pretend that I'm not actually talking to myself :)
Keep us posted on sweet Rory, OK?
LOL - I love that Vern is
LOL - I love that Vern is helping you; in fact, I think it's pretty sweet that you talk to him.....he's a good listener :)
I'll post an update when Rory is picked up from the hospital. The President of our rescue group is going to be her nurse-maid for the next week. She lives really close to the vet - I'm an hour away from any emergency vet. Good safety precaution.
:)
Good thoughts for your girl...
I wouldn't be able to part with her either!
Thank you!!!!
Thank you!!!!
Rory is just way too precious.
Keeping her in my thoughts and prayers.
I just can not understand some people.
Thanks Kathie!
Thanks Kathie!
Rory, we're praying for you!
And I'm talking two human and three dogs (two bullies and an honorary one)! Combined with everyone at BDW, those prayers cannot go unheard.
Teresa, please let us know how Rory's doing when you can.

Prayers
Hope all went well and Rory is resting peacefully post surgery. Bless you for fostering! I just rescued my first foster last week myself and will be going through exatly what you are now shortly. Mine was bought off Craigslist by a family that knew nothing about bullies, then taken to a vet who knew even less. The vet told them she needs numerous surgeries, needs her nose rope removed so she can breathe better, etropian etc. This caused them to freak out and think they couldn't afford her and turned to rescue. This family bought her two weeks ago and after running out of Nat Bal lamb and brown rice, they bought her Purina!
She is the sweetest thing! She doesn't look to be a breeder, I don't see any scars, but has no socialization with other dogs really. She is agrgressive with toys and food towards my dogs, but not with me. She has really deep folds and tail that requires work. Everything is infected on her! Eyes, ears, fleas etc., but somehow no yeast. She hasn't been groomed in a long, long time. I don't get people. Why do they do this, how could they dunp them???
Hats off to you for opening your heart and home to fostering. She has won the doggie lottery! She is a beautiful girl!
Bean, Chloe, Jackson taking over the bed as always!
aww.......sending up prayers---what a SWEET face she has....
it made me even sadder to read her history because she looks a lot like our Sophie....
Please let us know how she's doing!!!! (( hugs ))

UPDATE
Thank you to everyone!
Rory's surgeries went well and she is home resting. She is staying w the head of rescue group and she messaged me to tell me that Rory feels good enough to chew on everything in sight, lol!
I am so glad she is recovering well and can't wait to see how she changes now that she can actually breath - I think she is going to be a little ball of energy when she is all healed!
Have a great weekend!
So glad to hear it all went well!
I am sure she will feel SO much better when she heals up from everything:-)
