When you're lying in bed, do you see "pictures" in the texture of the ceiling? No, im usually asleep shortly after I lay down!

Have you ever been chased by a rooster? Heck yes! I was ever so glad when that stupid bird got eaten by our resident coyote!! I have over 60 chickens, if one is a mean roo, he doesnt last long around here:-)
Did you know "The Alphabet Song" and "Twinkle, Twinkle" are the same song? Yes, but I prefer to remain ignorant and pretend they arent:-)
Tell us a story about you and a tree! LOL! The one about me getting rubbed off under a large tree limb by a boogerhead horse?! Or the one abou tme rolling into a tree when my breaks went out on my truck as I turned into my banks [raking lot?! Both are good stories:-)

since I was raised in the suburbs, the only animals I was around were at the petting zoo / regular zoo, so your
animal stories crack me up! Being CHASED by a rooster? Sounds SCARY, but I have to admit, I also had
a cartoon-ish type image in my mind! If you were hurt, I'm really sorry, but if NOT---then is it okay that I'm kinda
laughing? I just know if it were ME, I'm sure I would've been terrified, while my hubby would be cracking UP! LOL!...

Speaking of NOT being around animals my whole life, ( wow, I'm in a chatty mood this evening!)....I actually MIGHT have
told you this story before, but in case I haven't.....Hubb's father was a ranch caretaker, and he and his brothers helped their Dad
with everything, including roping cattle----soooo, obviously he is VERY familiar with horsies and all other animals. When we lived "out in the boonies" right outside of San Antonio, one of our neighbors had some beautiful horses. I thought they
were lovely, but I was a litttle bit afraid of them. I decided to get over myself and started feeing and petting one on his
pretty face, and he let out a little sneeze which startled me and scared me SO much, I guess I kinda jumped a bit or didn't something silly like that, and ohhhhh wowwww.....hubby laughed SOOOO hard---it was HILARIOUS!! Even I laughed
hysterically once my startled reaction was over! LOL! I HATE that I startle so easily....it's quite annoying! Just this morning, I was cuddling with Meaty, and he did that thing where it's not really a "sneeze", but they let a fine mist of saliva out of their noses.....It cracks me UP when they do that, especially right in our FACES.....but I just hate how much it startles me at first! LOL!.....

A few years later, we were in the beaaaautiful South Padre Island with my family, and we did a horse walk
on the beach. My niece and I were soooo silly and giddy over everything BEFORE getting on our horsies,
but once I was on mine, I was a bit afraid and there was no more silliness! When he went from a nice
slow walk to a verrrry gentle trot, I just couldn't handle it, I was such a baby! LOL! Hubbs, sister, brother-in-law, and niece enjoyed their horsie's gentle
trotting on the beach while I happily stayed wayyy behind them while my horsie just walked. We had
LOTS of fun photos and laughter over that! :-)

minute to realize who "Arky's Mom" was....LOL! I LOVE that !!! :-)
Annnnd, WHYYYyyyyy have my dear hubby and I never thought to call him that? I mean, sure,
we've called him MEATY his entire life (and my Dad calls him "Meats" and/or
"Meatward"......which cracks me up!)
Since hubbs and our entire families always LOVED nicnames/
shortened names, so I honestly can't believe we've never thought of using
the FIRST part of his cute name! Thanks for the fun idea! Actualllly....

walk near me as I'm typing this---I told him your FUN name, and he loves it, and also thinks "Archie"

It also cracks me UP that hubbs has called Sophie "Triscuit" since she was a pupp. He says it's NOT because she
reminds him of the actual Triscuit crackers; it's just something that popped in his head one day....LOL!

Archie...................
was the name of the first bully The Warden and I rescued. He was the joy in our lives. I hope to meet up with him again when I cross the bridge. And I'm not going where everybully else is going; I'm going where the bullies go. And I am unanimous in that. I only hope they let Pirates in.

To answer your questions......................
You already know I'm a Pirate and I love me rum, so I've surveiled me maps and plotted me course for where me sextant and the stars say there's The Rainbow Bridge. I'll not be plannin' on going to the usual places lubbers want to go to; Nirvanna, Shangra La, Heaven, Hades, Valhalla, Paradise, etc. These ports be full of swabs and thieves, and after having to live w' 'em all this time, I be seasick of 'em. So, when me sun is settin', I'll be swingin' me bow around and makin' for the Trades to carry me there. I hear stories from all me mates, it's a glorious place full of wonderful bullies that ain't got no captain anymore. So, I be seein' there's a need fer them and fer me. And I be figurin' I ain't be slobbered on for a month of fortnights, so what the hell! There's me plan. I jes gotta stock me hold and if I be off sooner, then all's the well. Arrrrrrrrh! Where's me rum?

I am sad to report.........................
that poor Archie developed the big "C" and we had to help him to the Bridge, years ago. He was THE BEST. Next, my son and his girlfriend got what turned out to be OUR beloved Lily and Chunk. The kids broke up and we "inherited" the pups. It was the best thing that ever happened to us. We enjoyed them for ten years until Chunk developed pneumonia, had a heart attack at the vet's and passed. Lily lived on and succumbed to old age. Broke our hearts. In between these three, we rescued George but only had him for two months. His owner said he had to leave the country and couldn't keep him. It turned out poor George was full of "C" and we also had to help him to The Bridge. Presently, we are bull-less. Our son and his wife have just rescued a 110 lb (He's actually underweight) American Bull that nobody wanted. He was taken away from his owner in Maryland, shipped to Tampa and then Port St. Lucie, FL, all with rescue groups. He lived on concrete and in kennels for a long, long time and they finally found him. He has health issues, joints, arthritis, paws, etc, but he's an absolute love. Big and gentle, just wants to be loved on and scratched. He thinks he's a lap dog and tries to prove it every time we visit. I hope the four of us get him all figured out and fixed up soon.

glad that Chunk and Lily had long lives----but---ugh----being there with them to go to the bridge--
I can't imagine! And I mean that literally----we have NOT had that happen, so we can only empathise!
Ohhh, wouldn't it be pawsome if they (and US hoomans!) could jussst die peacefully in our sleep? :-(
That's pawsome about the big guy your son & wife rescued----he sounds SO sweet, just like the
11/12-year-old precious guy who adopted us back in March.....ohhh, the sad, sad stories of their
past lives......just heartbreaking!!! ((( hugs ))) to you and The Warden!

Tell us a story about you and a tree!
I have a wonderful ash tree in the back yard. 10 ft around at the bottom of the trunk. We spend $600 every couple of years to protect if from the Emerald Ash Borer which is endemic and will kill thousands of trees, any that aren't treated. It's an expense we can't afford, but it's worth it.
