Dear friends.
Although most of you do not know us, and the others might not remember, we used to be active participants on this forum when we brought home our little bear "Prince Buster" in November of 2005. We delighted in sharing stories and photos. We loved looking at your pictures. We were even able to attend a "Bullyfest" and meet some of you in person.
As time went on, and our daughter was born, we continued to keep up with the board, but posted less, and eventually not at all, as a baby and a bulldog leave time for little else. Buster was a great big brother to her. He was curious and gentle. He provided companionship and a playmate. Taught her to love and care for an animal. Followed her from room to room.
It is with heavy heart that we must share with you that we lost our dear Buster this past Saturday, after a very sudden decline at the age of 7 and a half. Apparently he had developed a particularly aggressive form of cancer. He was very healthy throughout his entire life, until the end, and received the very best care.
There is so much we can say about Buster. He was a loved and cherished member of our family. He taught us about responsibility and commitment. He taught us about family and unconditional love. And now he is teaching us about loss and perseverance.
He was a very good boy. He was loved and he will be missed.
