O/T Friends in Michigan

Looking for a place to getaway for recreaction once a month or so. As I'm retired and have a pain disorder, I need to still be close to medical care, preferably a clinic. We use to visit Ludington, but it's too far for a once a month trip....so, any friend up there?

We are located in Grand Rapids area and have great medical near by. There is lots of culture to visit. Fred Meijer gardens is a wonderful place to vist
