I got to meet and get to know him when I was in my early 20's. It was a cool experience, one I won't ever forget. He had a guitarist named Paul Williams that became a close friend of mine for many years. I finally lost touch with him a while back. That was such a great part of my growing up, getting to know those folks.

to meet some blues guys and their band members. My favorite blues man is Buddy Guy and I've met two of his band members, Ric "Jazz" Hall & Marty Sammons. I have an old 1996 NC license plate that says "BLUZZZZZ" and Ric helped me get all the band members to autograph it for me :)
I love a lot of the old blues singers. I also like folk music and was so sorry to hear about Richie Havens passing. I met him also when I was a teenager, used to wait for him to come do festivals in the summertime up in Idaho where we lived. It was great being able to meet all sorts of people, lots of musicians...I met Dan Fogelberg also, he was a nice guy. Carlos Santana lived up there (whoa dude, get off the drugs, k?!). Interesting stuff...
I've been to some killer concerts in the last 2 years and usually can get pix. A lot of artists now won't allow photographs but I've figured out a work around :)
