Ollie is still acting strange, but the bleeding has slowed down, mostly drainage now. The vet could see a cyst or bubble under his tongue that was the problem, but couldn't say what was causing it. Hubby didn't want to have him put under anesthesia at his age, so we are doing antibiotics and pred to see if that helps. Wish I knew what was wrong with him.
Oh darn...I hope he starts feeling better soon.

Swollen gum?
I can't remember the correct term for what Zimmer had. Almost like a swollen gum-gingival hyperplasia. The gum had grown over his tooth, not too big but enough that it was visible. Did the vet see anything in his mouth? Hope he feels better soon.

She said the bleeding was coming from...
under his tongue, not the gums. Almost like a blister. Yesterday it was bleeding a lot, today it's a little blood but mostly brownish drainings. He is just feeling so bad though, I wish we could do something for him. Supposedly the pred will shrink the blister or cyst, but he has to wait 2 days because he is on rimadyl for his back.
Poor guy:-(
An abscess in the mouth can be so painful. Hopefully, since it is draining now, Oliver will begin feeling better soon. Many prayers for your boy...
