So it has been years since i last posted in this forum and my bulldogs and I went on quite an adventure. We lived in Dallas, Malaysia and San Francisco before returning to Southern California. I have been trying to coup with the loss of Buster earlier this year. He started having Grand Maul Siezures in early Novemeber and passed away at home with his daddy and myself on Jan 4th. He was 7.5 and is sorely missed by the rest of my family and Loompa.
I am writting to ask how soon is too soon?My husband would like to get a new puppy for Loo... She has been depressed and mopping around since Buster passed and we arent sure what else to do for her. Buster and Loo were together everyday for their lifes and I just think she is lonely and not use to being alone.. Any suggestions?

If you are ready, I think this would be good
If you are ready to get another bulldog, then it's the right time. I'll bet your other doggie would welcome a new puppy, too. Just make sure that you get a healthy dog from a good breeder or get a rescue that likes other dogs. And, post your decisions and photos.
Sounds to me like you could all benefit from a new love
I'm sure Loo would enjoy the company and sounds like hubby is ready. But are you? As you know, owning a bulldog (or two) can be a team effort and if you are all not on the same page, then wait. If you are on the same page, then go for it.
I'm so sorry to hear you lost your boy so soon - too soon. I lost my girl almost a year ago and I would love another but hubby is still too raw to even consider it (she was his first pet). I'm still hopeful though :)
Best of luck and please keep us posted!!
Thank you!
I think its at least time to start the search for a new little guy... no one will ever be able to replace my bus-bus... but there is a lot of love in this family and i think its time to get Loo another companion... i think she and the hubby will appreciate that...
and i should take advantage of this working from home thing and get to spend the time with my mutt... ill have to figure out how to post pictures again, seems i have already forgotten..
thanks all for the support!

Totally adorable!
I loved Buster's "bat ears". What a doll he was :)
Awww....so sorry about Buster!!! LOVE that photo, too! My
thoughts are, if you feel it's the right time, go with your heart. I am really sorry for your loss of sweet
Buster, and it always breaks my heart to hear about the other pets showing grief.....((( hugs )))))
