need bully rescue help!

Dear all,

I know of a bulldog that needs serious help. I have a client whose son owns a bully. His bully looks sad, sick, and mentally getting worse. I don't think the son has time for him and I think the dog literally just sits in a cage in the garage all day (maybe for years). He looks about 5 yrs old or so.

The son is good guy, just busy with work I think. I think its just one of those sad situations where the dog was so cute as a puppy and then got too much and too strong for the family as it got older, so he seems untrained and unsocialized.

I have visited their house twice within the last 6 months. A few months ago, the dog was in the cage and at least barking and now yesterday .. he was in the cage- just staring at the wall in the corner. They have a lot of construction going on, its loud and all day. I am very worried that the dog is suffering.

The son has told me he has tried to contact norcalbulldog rescue but they say they don't have any room. Can you let me know of any other places that may take him? The dog is located in Oakland, CA (not in the bad scary areas, actually in the one of the rich neighborhoods!)Thank you!

Yeah!!! bcarn to the rescue!

Dear all,

bcarn was able to get blue ravine vet to take him in! Yeahhhh! I am so happy! I hope that they find a way to turn this bully's life around.  I worry that he might be to unsocialized to the point where he might be too mean for anyone to take him in.

Poor guy

Hopefully they have someone that can take him even if he has issues. With our rescue, if we get a dog that just can't be placed due to aggression, we thankfully have a guy who runs an animal sanctuary that will take them. We have only placed a very few with him, most can be "only" dogs and get adopted. He has all sorts of dogs there that have been almost put to sleep because they bit someone or are just plain too aggressive. He turns them around. He is in Washington State, but he might just be able to help out dogs from out of state, being the first dog that he got started with was in Colorado, but I'm not sure. Worse comes to worse, maybe they can try contacting him @olympicanimalsanctuary.org

NorCal Bulldog Rescue

I'm so glad NorCal Bulldog Rescue was able to come through...although I am saddened by their description of the situation. "Biggie also needs some good thoughts, he was an owner surrender, he has lived most of his life in a garage with very little human contact, his physical condition is poor. Not sure what the future holds for them yet. Will try to post pics soon."

Friend this awesome group on Facebook and consider donating to this great cause!!
