Others have gone on to Facebook or similar. I do wish they would come check in sometimes though. I miss Onslow, Buttercup, dang, so many that I can't even name them all on one line:-(.

I hope they will check in someday...

Petey is doing OK, but dang, he is a chewer and a digger !

I just bailed him out of doggie jail last week. I let him out to pee, as usual, and he peed, took his "good dog" treat and then took off.

From my FB page:

Last Friday Petey wanted to explore the neighborhood a little bit and got picked up by the Winston-Salem Doggie Police. He was charged with loitering & resisting arrest and pulled 4 days in doggie jail.

I think he likes it here more than he did there LOL ! But now he'll have a hard time finding a job with a criminal record !

almost 6 months since Mr. Higgins suddenly passed

I said to everyone I would never get another dog. Not one person believed me. I was grieving terribly and went into a depression. I found a dog in a shelter 1/2 Bulldog and 1/2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. I was his 3rd home in 17 months. Never socialized, pulled like a horse and extremely dog reactive. They said I would bring him back. I said no, I keep all my pets for their lifetime. I have had 2 bulldogs and thought perhaps I would have a bit better health with a mixed breed. Well, he is the love of my life. I called in a behaviourist and he is a miracle boy. Just since March 2, he has improved and I have worked very hard with him daily and learned so much from the behaviourist.

No, it is not a bulldog and I cannot stay away from bulldog sites. Bulldogs are in my blood and perhaps one day I will have another. I love Ridley very much but in a different way. I have been smiling since the day I got him. He is 20 months old now, pure white bulldog body, cavalier spaniel ears (brownish red) and white spaniel head.. What a mix.

But I hear ya on the chewing and digging deal! I have one of those, too! She is a Catahoula and drives me bananas, but she is sweet as can be and I love her to pieces. Usually!

I agree wtih Lynn, maybe a lesser charge for that boy!

Stopping by to check in with you all, Doggers! I cruise the bully sites but don't post much. We are still bull-less (no pets at all, for that matter) and it's just different for us that way. I'm going to make the effort to be more engaging. It's difficult to be "seeing" and "reading" but not "having". Or, maybe it's just me that feels that way. But something is definitely missing and I know what it is, but I'm not in a position to do anything about it just yet. So, Rum Scout's Honor, I swear to try to be a little more participating here, not that I've ever (we've ever) been celebrities like some other great bulldog parings. We could even start a reunion of sorts and hunt down all the slackers. It's just a matter of getting the word out there. We're alive and well in SoFla, but missing our sweet Lily and Noble Chunk still, and that feeling and emotion will never go away. I stopped doing surveys because the enthusiasm dropped dramatically and everybully gets tired of the same diet. I still hesitate to even do one a quarter. We'll see how this shakes out.

I miss you guys so much. I know how heartbroken you were when Chunk and Lily both passed, what a tragic time for you guys the past couple of years have been. I do hope that sometime in the future there will be another Bully babe or dude in your lives, what a special and spoiled baby that will be:-)

I love surveys, and participated recently on another site! They were so much fun every Friday, but alas, things did change on our beloved BDW and it seems so lonely now with some of our "best and brightest" bully babes and boys gone.

so much... next month is one year we lost Gracie... Sugar is almost 3 yrs and Griffin just Feb... they are all playing with all that have gone before them... our son lost his bulldog Prissy last week, she was 10~~~ :(
