food

I have a 4 1/2 month old male olde English bulldog. He seems to have a sensitive stomach. From day one he has had loose stools and very frequent, like anywhere from 5-7 times a day. I only feed him 1 1/4 cup in am and 1 1/4 cup in pm and about 1/4 cup in the afternoon. My vet had put him on royal canin gi high energy for his stomach but didn't really help she also did a round of probiotic which maybe helped firm them up some but not the frequency , so at pet smart they recommended natural balance synergy. that has helped firm them up but not the frequency. any suggestions. his coat is great, no itchy skin. he does great just a lot of poop.
thank you

No suggestions but I'm sure someone here will know

How much does he weigh? I don't know if this is an allergy or maybe something else? Have you tried a little youghurt in his diet? You'd just need a tablespoon or two a day.

I went through a ton of different foods.............

My oldest bulldog had a sensitive stomach and loose stools.  I went through a lot of different foods trying to firm him up.  He seemed to do best on a middle range protein food (like around 21 grams protein) instead of a higher protein food.  I feed them grain free, as he had an allergy to corn and chicken.  It's a crap shoot until you find something that works.

I finally found a food that worked well for the stools.  It has nothing to do with a food for sensitive stomachs, but I used Premium Edge sensitive skin and coat, and his stools were the best on that food.  Costco has a grain free food that both my dogs have also done well on.

good luck.............

Also, check her mouth and gums...

add a heaping tablespoon of plain canned pumpkin to each of his meals.  This will help firm him up.
