When we bought her we were
When we bought her we were told she was an olde english bulldog, I recently had animal control here to purchase her tags they said she defiantley had no pit bull in her. I am very new to these dog breeds does she look pitbull

I have an english and American bulldog. Your baby girl looks like she is or have Amercian in her to me. They are awesome bulldogs. I don't see any pit in her she looks just like my boy did when was a baby. Keep posting those pictures. She a doll. I'm looking forward to watching her grow up. She a doll.

I ask because of the shape of her head and her nose kinda looks like a pit. maybe mix with a bully. My nephew's pit looks axactly like your lucy, color, eyes, nose and head. when their were that young. Regardless of what breed it maybe. She is still Hella Cute. my ex husband had pits his whole life and at one point he bred and raised them...when we were married we had "Sinsin"
living w/us...male buckskin w/the most gentlest of temperments-one of the most smartest and beautiful dogs we have ever had...i for one love the breed as much as i love the bully breed...and regardless of the negative press about the pit breed(some valid w/in reason),i firmly belive it's bad owners that make it far more worse for the breed!

I think Pitbulls are
I think Pitbulls are beautiful also although I dont believe Lucy has pit bull in her we had the animal control come sell us her tags and they checked and said she was def not pitbull. Her pictures dont really do her justice, she is very wrinkly and her bottom teeth are now bucked out,,,lol she definatley looks more bulldog.

LOL she is amazing with my kids I have 3 little boys under the age of 5 and she is very gentle and patient with them,doesnt matter what she is to me either she is an amazing dog and we are blessed to have her

I'd say she's definitely a mix, but I don't see pittbull either.
Definitely a lot of bulldog, maybe a bit of boxer. When People say "olde English", it's often a mix of two of the bull breeds - at least at some point in their lineage.
She's a cutey, for sure!

Color
of her nose and the long muzzle is definitely more pitbull then bulldog. Also the light eye color, which with dudleys is often yellow or green is common in pits. Bulldogs should have very dark brown/black eyes. I personally see no boxer traits. The dudley nose is the only DQ in the bulldog breed standard, but it is very common in pits especially in the red and white colors. Either way she looks like a sweetie and I do agree with some of the others that dogs are more often a product of their upbringing and surroundings. Meaning people can definitely make bad dogs. There are certain lines in bulldogs that can tend to have bad temperments, but it has been proven that bad pits can be rehabilitated to be wonderful dogs. Take Vicks for example.

Thank you, I have 3 little boys Brodie is 5, Gavin is 2.5 and the little one in the picture is my youngest Kayden he is 18 months they all adore Lucy and she is so patient and gentle with them!
