Hi everybody. I haven't posted here since Slugger passed away. It's been a really horrible year and I can't wait for it to be over. My Mom passed away in April from Alzheimer's disease, then 2 weeks later Slugger passed away totally unexpected. He wasn't sick at all and I thought he was just sound asleep in front of the fridge.. his favorite place in the world. Then my husband who was fighting pancreatic cancer for 43 months lost his fight and passed away in October. I'm actually in counseling now to try and find a way to cope with all of this loss. I've been lurking a few times a week but just didn't feel I had anything to contribute anymore so I just quit posting.

Now I have to ask a favor if anybody feels they would like to do this, I would sincerely appreciate it. One of my dear friends, actually my bulldog mentor is really sick and has been in the hospital for the last 3 weeks. I thought if some of you would send her either a get well card or a Christmas card, it would cheer her up.

My heart goes out to you old friend. I am so sorry to know your husband passed, so very sorry. What a kind heart you have to be thinking of a friend in need when you are going through so much yourself. I will send a card to your friend...and am praying for you...my friend.

Please stay on the boards and keep us updated as you can. I miss you and was just thinking about you the other day, wondering how you were doing...

I appreciate your kind words. I miss you too. I'm always on here lurking though. lol Thank you for sending a card to Joyce. She helped me so much in my beginning with bullies and became a great friend.

This is Suse from Germany. I'm so very sorry for your losses. I lost my ex-friend this September after 9 month fighting again cancer and it was a terrible experience. We have been 12 years apart, but have been best friends. Looking forward and remembering the good times.... that helps. Kathie, do you think your friend would like to get a card from Germany? Take care m friend.

I am sorry to hear of your loss as well. Yes, remembering the good times will help eventually, I am sure but right now I am still in this weird crying stage whenever I think about things I have done in the past with them. Anyway, I know she would certainly love getting a card from Germany as she is of German heritage. I appreciate your help.

our minds around sooo many bad things happening to someone in such a short amount of time---I can't imagine
