Dreadnought is a humper!
Submitted by Kymberlee and D... on February 12, 2013 - 8:10pmand I am at my wit's end as to how to stop him. He went to doggie day care today, and he was just determined to hump. They had to put him in time out (kennel) for awhile. They actually sprayed him with a water bottle first which didn't stop him and then they turned the hose on him (pissed me off but that is another story). He was being huge brat! Anyone have any good suggestions?
He has been fixed since he was 6 months old. He went to a bulldog play group on Sunday and he was perfectly behaved. No humping at all.

Coins?
Someone mentioned coins in a can to shake at him and the sound might take his mind away from humping. This seems to help some for some bully problems.
Mine play hump rarely, usually they are active after they eat. If I need them to stop, as it's pretty rare now, I usually use my pack leader voice and give them a HEY!...Or an, ALL RIGHT NOW...they stop. If they are just playing, I set back and laugh...they are males. Mine are not neutered.

Mean people still suck
Coins work but
it terrifies him. We have a penny can that we use to use when he was younger, but he HTAES it and I don't want someone else just shaking a can of pennies in his face. We actually don't even have to take the can out...a threat of "The Can" usually stops bad behavior.

How funny is it that all you have to say is "The Can" and
with I Phoebe all I say is " Do I need to get the bottle?" How hilarious are they?
