Cherry eye troubles

Our Roxy's cherry eye surgery is going on three months now and her eye still looks like when we first saw her after surgery.  The vet keeps telling me it takes several months for it to heal. It will be three months soon and no change. I don't know where else to turn.  I haven't been able to find any before and after pictures on the web or any articles that state the exact time frame for healing. I would greatly appreciate any info

thanks in advance

We have had 2 with cherry eye and both looked normal after surge

You might need to have a second opinion. 3 months doesn't sound right to me.

I completely agree, get a second opinion,...

And the sooner the better!

Troubles continue

We've been back and forth with this eye issue for three months now. I called and requested a phone conference.  So now he tells me her eye is showing signs of ectropion. Really???? Her cherry eye never healed and now he says she has ectropion.  It sti looks like it did after surgery. It never healed properly.  I do t understand. From what I've read ectropion usually begins with the dog have an issue with keeping the eye opened.  She was perfectly fine except for the cherry eye.  Both eyes were the same size with no dropping eyelid whatsoever.  Please advice.
