Bittersweet Day

Our little Handsome Guy Mike went to his furr-ever home yesterday. A long time friend of mine from Illinois and her family drove down and picked him up yesterday! He is going to make them happy as I am sure they are going to make him happy too!

Always pestering mommy Olive..

Daddy Hank got to meet his kids for the first time too. He liked them!

Mike's new family could not have been more excited!

Mommy Olive having a little playtime in the sun...

Mike had his napsack packed and was ready to go...

Such a beautiful boy...

The girls at the dairy bar... Olive just can't tell the little toothy babies no..she loves them.

The Goddess PollyAnna says hello too!

Have a great day!

beautiful pups--always hard to let them go

How old now? Look good sized--how much do they weigh? Curious--what's in his napsack? Interested in what you send to new home with pups. Are you keeping one? And a caution--one of my bitches developed a bad case of mastitis from big pups nursing. Vet told me at this stage pups suction is so extreme that they can literally create a vacuum with their suck and upon releasing allow bacteria to suck up into the gland. After that once I started weaning I made sure pups no longer could snack at the milk bar.

Pup size

The pups are 8 weeks today. Mike was 10 pounds and the girls left are from 7 to 9 pounds. The nap sack contained a large bag of his Science Diet puppy kibble, a toy, Heartguard, bracelet and snacks for the new owner. Shot records and registration papers went with them.
