Do any of you show folks use cooling mats or cooling coats and

if you do, do they work and which ones are best?

My dogs don't care for cooling mats

They avoid them rather than lie on them.  So far with my guys the cooling collar has worked the best.  I had a coat w/ cooling part under belly and chest but again they were not comfortable.  I think I am going to make one out of auto chamois clothes and velcro....should look like a patchwork job but if it helps that is fine.  I don't show my dogs outside much in the warmer weather as I am uncomfortable and I therefore assume they are though they don't seem to pant much if we are not out in the sun moving around or it is very muggy.  I prefer to go to indoor shows.  At the Nationals, however, the dogs are in the ring a long time and cooling collar has been helpful...we'll see if I make my chamois clothes coat and how they do with that this year in Kentucky!!!  ONLY 4+ MONTHS TO GO!!!!

:)

Works wonders!

We have a cooling jacket for Bella, it gets really hot here. Just the other day it was 90+ Bella had her jacket on and was sunbathing in the Sun, just fine. Our OEB was laying in the shade panting.  They make a huge difference, for us, as we live in a desert like area. I have a cooling mat on order, but haven't gotten it yet. Our jacket you just get it wet and it works for hours.
