Throwing up

Fatboy has thrown up twice in the past few days. I can't figure out what is causing this. The first time we thought it was just because he finished eating and ran throughout the whole yard like a mad puppy. But then this morning he got sick at 4 AM on his bed. And just now, he was chewing on his jolly ball when he started to heave.

He hasn't eaten anything he shouldn't have. And he's eating as normal (gained some weight actually, which is a good thing), drinking normal, and playing normal. Any thoughts?

Is he pooping okay?

If so and he's acting normal, it could just be a bug or something.  I usually put my guys on bland food for a day or so until they get back to normal.  That would be cooked rice with boiled chicken, hamburger or scrambled egg (no butter or oil) and feed small quantities several times a day.  If he keeps that down, start adding in some kibble.  Slippery elm calms the GI tract and maybe a Tums also.

Yes he is. Aside from the vomit, he's really normal. Thank you

for the food recommendations. I just got off of work, and these combinations sound lovely to me right now. I'm quite sure Fatboy will love them lol

Any time Kibby throws up..

.. And if there seems to be some phlegm with it... It turned out to be pneumonia! If the rice doesn't help, then maybe go get him checked ?good luck!

Could it be hunger pukes?

How often do you feed him? If I feed Kofi too early in the day, i.e. 4:30, she is apt to get hunger pukes in the early morning. She had them yesterday in the early afternoon, so I don't think she got enough breakfast. I feed her twice a day. When she throws up like this it is yellow, and phlemy.

Hope this helps.

He eats 1.5 cups of kibble twice a day (5:30). And he eats all

of it pretty fast.  He threw up again this morning but it was only a small portion of his food.

3 meals a day cured my boy.

Mr. Higgins used to vomit frequently in the morning. I began feeding him 3 times a day (3/4 cup each meal) and he totally stopped the vomiting.
