Spay
Submitted by nofoolin on November 30, 2013 - 2:17pmWe had our girl Ruthie spayed last Tuesday. On Friday she was throwing up.We took her back to the Vets. They gave her some chicken last night and was able to keep it down over night but this morning she did it again. Has anyone else exipernce this?

To the meds and the whole experience. How is she now? Can't comment on the spay itself as my bully is a boy.

Probably upset tummy
from the anesthesia. Yes I have had a bitch get very sick after a spay. temp went up to 104 and she was vomiting. Vet assumed the anesthesia cocktail was the cause. They kept her for a day to rehydrate her.
If your bitch ever has to have surgery again it would be good to note the cocktail used and advise the vet that maybe something else should be used next time.
Hope she is doing better today!
