Oliver is hurt
Submitted by mctt1luv on June 25, 2015 - 1:56pmSo, Olly has had MANY accidents while we were away on vacation. He has fallen off the bed twice, had lots of activity with stairs, and is now limping!! I could just hit myself. He is limping from the front AND the back end. I am just beside myself. I am going to take him to the vet tomorrow. Any advise? Trying to keep a 21 week old puppy calm and not active is NOT easy. He just keeps pushing himself through pain!!!

Crate rest.
He needs to be crated until he recovers. Give him toys, lots of toys. Walk him frequently for potty breaks. No more being on anything he can jump off of,,get him stairs instead if you have him on your bed.

We have had stairs since day one but will be making him "use" them more often. The Doc thinks he hurts his back. :( So, crate rest as much as possible, one shot of steroids and some pain pills until Wednesday. Sigh. Bad mother award goes to.....ME! Lol. Life I suppose.
