I have not posted for some time. I want to update re: my special boy Mr. Higgins. He is the guy who had a patella removal 3 years after patella surgery. He actually walks perfectly well, which is amazing. I do restrict stairs, jumping up and keep to controlled leash walking. He goes outside on a long line and plays to his heart`s content. (no fenced yard).
The mister will be 9 in August. His closed ear canals are being maintained on cyclosporin and weekly steroid ear drops. They are not end stage and he will not need ear ablation surgery. After 7 surgeries and lots of health issues, he is a good example of a bully who has had the ultimate in vet care, by a bully knowledgable vet. I could not have done this without pet insurance.
He is one very cute, happy bully and I pray he will live to be an old boy.
Bulldogsworld has supported me all along the way. Thanks everyone!!
I've Missed Mr Higgins :) He's a Bullys Bully :)
:-)
Last steps taken May 26, 2014 -- Been rolling along ever since . . . .

thanks guys
Yes, life would not ever have been this good if I had not discovered this most loving creature. I have been blessed with 2 bullies, Arthur (1996-2000) and Mr. Higgins, 2004-present.
It has been awhile
glad to hear that Mr. Higgins is doing so well. He's a very handsome boy.

not just handsome, he lives to please me!
I cannot beleive he is almost 9. With all the health issues he has had, I am happy to see him doing so well. He is the boy that has had 7 surgeries, came from a top breeder here in Ontario and the insurance has paid out $38,000.00 in claims!!!! This is no internet/newspaper/backyard breeder bully. A wonderful ethical breeder :)
Well, I hope that Mr. Higgins
is with you for many more years. He sounds like a wonderful much loved buddy.

Mr. Higgins is such a handsome
boy!
Thanks for the update. Happy to hear he's doing so well.
Hug him for Kofi and me.
Thanks Carol
I need a knee replacement in a few months. It is strange how when Mr. Higgins had his 3 knee surgeries, my knee was o.k. Now his are o.k and I am rather disabled until they replace it. It is like he knows I could not handle it if he needed another big joint surgery anytime soon. He really loves me! I honestly think dogs have a sixth sense.
I picked the puppy with the sweetest face out of 8 puppies and he has been cute ever since.
i just want to hug you
