Looking for high quality food 250-300 cal/cup

Hi all!  My 7 year old guy is a bit overweight (I'm sure we've never heard that before here!).  It doesn't help that he prefers to snore on a leather sofa all day and four and two year old humans drop food.  The vet is suggesting moving to a 250-300 cal/cup food.  Right now he is on Fromm's for weight management or inactive, but that is still about 350 cal/cup and with his activity level, he isn't buring that off.  Any high quality, bulldog-friendly food suggestions?  We've been with Fromm's for many years so I'm just not sure where to start.

Thanks!

Can you continue to give him this food, but cut

back on the amount given.  Make up the difference with no salt green beans.  Our first bully had a tendency to put on weight.  She also had allergies, we ended up going with Nature's Variety Raw Rabbit and Lamb.  She dropped the weight and we had to adjust for that.

yeah... that could work! Green beans?! ha!

Yes... that's a good idea!  Didn't know he'd eat green beans?!  haha!

Our guys are all on the Fromm Wt Mgmt and...

they are maintaining, but not losing.  We had Chester on Natural Balance Fat Dog for a while before he had acl surgery and he lost 11 pounds!  It does have oatmeal in it, but is otherwise grain free and he did well on it, good coat, no itching, etc.  We fed him 1 cup am and pm.  We have tried the green beans with him, but he always winds up with a bad stomach.  You also have to watch the treats, we use cut carrots for our guys and they love them.

You can also use cooked carrots.

I always have a can of cooked carrots and cooked green beans. If my girl looks a little pudgy sometimes, I do a few days of less food with the veggies and she drops a little weight pretty fast. Don't use it long term...once your boy loses the weight you want off, then just cut back his actual kibble amount a bit to maintain.
