Excessive Panting

My bulldog is 4 years old - no health issues other than mild allergies we control with Zyrtec. A couple days ago I've noticed her panting constant. Doesn't seem to have pain or other symptoms displayed. we've had a pretty hot summer so far but we keep the AC and fans on her.

Just didn't know if anyone had some insight on what might be causing this.

Hello, I hope your girl is doing better?

A couple of questions...is she overweight at all? How cool are you keep the house? Are you walking her well past the hot hours of the day? Is she out on pavement at all?

I'm only trying to pinpoint a possible causse of her panting. Pain is generally the number one cause, unless she's been in a climate too warm for her. Bulldogs can be very stoic, if it is pain she may not show you that. If she is still panting or seems to be in distress, a quick vet trip would be in order. I hope you have this figured out by now, but if not, please update!

Thank you for your

Thank you for your response

Honestly I rarely take her out on hot days and mainly keep her in the AC with cold water on each floor of the house.

I was thinking of the vet but she stopped panting - although she'll pant hard 1 day a month pretty randomly this was almost a week and worried everyone.

She is fine now and I appreciate your concern
