Drooping eyelid
Submitted by kimrisa on February 24, 2015 - 3:40pmHi...today my bulldog woke up with a major drooping eyelid. We give him dry eye drops/prescription drops for dry eye but his eyelid has never drooped like this before. I believe it's probably ectropion. We can't get an appointment to see vet till Thursday. Is this an emergency situation or is it probably okay to wait till thursday? He doesn't seem to be uncomfortable.

Could it be an allergic reaction to something?
Bug bite? Ollie had a swollen eye lid one time and it was from allergies. Benedryl for a few days and it was gone.

I don't know if it is an emergency or not. If the eye begins to weep, turns color, or clouds, then yes, a trip to the vet will need to be faster than Thursday. Hopefully it is not a big problem:-(
