i have a white bully too...

luckily kibby is a dainty girl and avoids puddles, dirt, and mud at all costs.. she will even run away full speed from her own poo after she is done! i usually wash her every 3 weeks, but i clean ears weekly. i do a wipe down with a wringed out, warm , baby towel  on her face maybe every 3-4 days or as needed to get the eye gunk, face wrinkle gunk out. i do a full body wipe down and feet as needed or weekly. I use baby wash if i have to use soap, but i make sure that wipe off all soap with another damp towel after.

i use eqyss pet shampoo, its really the best, smell lasts the longest and it keeps her being itchy ! i have tried mango tango and all those other brands, but truly this one is totally worth it.

Where do you get that shampoo Eqyss?

I overbathed Sally (1x week) and eventually she grew to love her bathes, to the point where she would sit totally submerged.  That was my mistake, and eventually she got a bad yeast infection because too much soapy water is not good for them!  Lesson learned - don't overbathe!

I would get soap free soap

that way you don't dry their skin out.

I checked ours last night and it is soap free!

It's an oatmeal tea tree shampoo I never even paid attention to if it was soap free or not.  Good call Katie.

i usually buy it on amazon...

but i think they have their own website where you could buy it direct. i did notice with kibby as well, that if i use other products, she will get itchy, dry, sometimes dandruffy!

I've been using Johnsons baby

I've been using Johnsons baby shampoo for about 15 years now without an issue!

I second the baby shampoo.

I second the baby shampoo. Its worked well for Tucker, who has some allergies with other shampoos (to the point of getting skin infections!)

I third the use of Baby Shampoo:-)

That is what I use on Sophie's tail pocket. If I use anything else, her pocket gets yucky much faster. I use Johnson's Baby Shampoo.

and another idea

For a white coated dog I use the 'blue' shampoos made for white coats, such as Bio Groom Super White. Since I have several white dogs I buy it by the gallon, but you dilute it 4:1 or more. Never had a dog have a bad reaction to it.

For dogs with sensitive skins I use Dr. Bronner's Liquid Castile soap in the Tea Tree Oil variety. A little bit gives a great lather, it smells good and has a slight medicinal effect too. It can be found at most any Health food store, a quart sized bottle runs about $20 and lasts forever.

Okay you can laugh but I'm going to ask

Have you used this on a dog with markings like mine?  Chum has a white head but he has redish/fawn markings will it do something to his markings?  His white fur is not looking its whitest so I want to give this a try possibly.  What do you think?

not laughing

For a multi colored dog I use the blue shampoo on the white areas and the castile on the colored areas. If the whites are badly stained, then I bathe those areas 1st with the blue shampoo and let it stay on a few minutes, rinse, then bathe overall with the Castile shampoo. The blue shampoo won't fade any colored areas though.

Use a bit of the diluted blue shampoo on a washcloth to scrub the face folds if they are stained.

Thank you so much Robin! Your response is greatly appreciated!

I'm going to give those a try thank you again.

hmmmm.. i never thought of the baby shampoo, i use baby wash...

For her face and feet and butt and where ever we need touch ups... then again her fur should be considered hair, so therefore it would make more sense to use the baby shampoo! I will try it! Thanks
