puppy turns blue while eating

i have 7 2 day old puppies and 3 of them have suddenly turned blue while nursing. After I have stimulated them then they are fine. they are all eating good and not fussy in the basket. It only last for a second and then they are fine. Just wondering if any one had any ideas why

Sounds like moms milk is coming out faster than the puppies can swallow. You can use a bulb syringe ( the kind used to suction out infant baby noses ) to suction out the puppies noses if milk starts coming out of there noses.

You may want to have their palettes checked

Yes, it is important

to not let them inhale-aspirate-any milk as it can lead to pneumonia quickly in such youngsters.

And always .....Winston
