Probably a heart attack (that's what the rescue president thinks)....doesn't really matter, glad he didn't suffer except for the
last few breaths he struggled for..... His abdomen suddenly got VERY swollen and hard----We were ready to rush him to
the Emergency Vet and I was going to do rescue breathing while hubby drove, but he died very quickly. I was sure it was
bloat/ volvulus, (because of his HUGE tummy!!!) but experienced rescue peeps said no, usually that's only in younger doggies...
Many of you will remember Olivia (Rotti Girl) and her Q Ball. He passed away today and joins his sister, Kano, at the Bridge.
He was handsome, fun loving and the apple of his mother's eye. Q will be sorely missed.
So what else is new. Today I took Quigley on a nice walks. He loves walks. Instead of going our regular route, we stopped for a little while in a park (a block from our house) that has a very large open space. I dropped the leash because I am trying to train him to walk off leash before we go to a dog park. He did fine. Then we turned around to go back the same way and dropped the leash again. He took off. I chased him down and grabbed him but he kept running to the park gate. Fine. We got back on the sidewalk to go on the regular walk and he stopped short.
Heyyy everybuullyyyy!!! Hope you had a wonderful July 4th / Canada Day / enjoying your summer!!!
It's like it was yesterday. Zapper had a massive heart attack right after eating breakfast and crawling under my desk so he could lay his head close to my feet. All I could do was get down in the floor with him, talk to him and hold him while he passed. I prayed to God that it would be quick and it was.
I'm so glad I buried him in a natural area behind my house; I still visit him every day, talk to him and I know he hears me :)
Hi guys!
I have a friend who is trying to bring her golden retriever over to Canada from Spain. Anyone have any experience with this kind of thing? The only luck we've had so far is with Air Canada Cargo - and they make things REALLY complicated.
Thanks for any insight.
Quigley wants cherries!
Just hanging out in the backyard.
The best seat in the house.
Sweet face girl.

It's that time of year when every thing comes out in the yard. We really didn't have a winter at all here in Austin Texas to kill all the bugs.
My question is what is everyone putting on their yard. Funny when I live in the country you would think I would be having these problems.
But NO only in the city. what is the name of that stuff I can't remember it started with a D and part of it was call earth. and where can I get it.
Thanks.
I wondered where in the world you were!
