Apollo celebrates his 7th birthday today!

I can't believe it!  He is the first puppy I ever had (my other furbabies were older).  It was a delight watching him grow!

Astragalus

Has/does anyone use the astragalus for immune issues, and if yes, what dose?
Thanks.

Hi Everyone! We're new to the group...

We joined the group at the beginning of February after we lost our very sick puppy and have been reading posts, but this is our first introduction to the group.  Our "3 Muskateers" (see pic) are now back to just 2 - Tank is 7 (right) and Dozer is 4 (left) - they are actually uncle and nephew.  The little handsome guy in the back was Scooch - he was only with us for 8 months, but we miss him dearly and the boys still sit where his crate was - sad :(   Enough depressing stuff - I just wanted to introduce us to the group & I'm sure you'll be hearing from us again!

O/T, too funny not to share!

I have 3 little Silkie hens and a couple of Silkie roosters. I have been hoping for some chicks this spring, so have let a couple of my hens go broody and sit on nests. So far, no fertilized eggs have been laid, so I let the hens sit for a week or so, then remove the eggs. They find a different location and try again. My chickens roost in my barn so I thought little of one hen nesting herself into a corner of a horse stall. She was perfectly safe, so I let her sit. She was on her nest for a couple of weeks and I decided to go ahead and pull the eggs, clean her nest.

Stephanie, how is your girl doing?

I hope she is doing well and beginning to realize she is in a new life...one that wil be completely awesome for her someday:-) Poor girl, I feel so badly for the ones that have no idea what a loving and caring home really is. Time...time is your friend.
