what is wrong?

Okay I went into picture it, looked at my properties for all the pictures, they are all quarter size 320 pixels wide. what am I doing wrong?

Another suggestion

If you want to learn the Ulead program, you can download a free 30 day trial version at www.download.com or at the company's site, www.ulead.com. Just type the name of the program, Ulead Photo Impact 8.0, into the search block for the former, or the same, less the word Ulead, for the latter.

I'll be happy to help you learn it. I love this program beyond description, and I've tried a whole bunch, from Picture It, Photo Explosion Deluxe, Microsoft Digital Image Pro 7.0, Adobe Photo Elements 2.0, to others I'm now forgetting.

Lisa, r.e. resizing

To be honest, I'm not nearly as good as Ce is at using Picture It, and I've never used it before to re-size a photo. [I usually use two other programs for that.]

But I just gave it a try. I can't find a menu item for "Properties" anywhere, so I'm not sure where you are getting the info that all of your pics are 320.

However, when you open a photo in the work space, you will see a whole bunch of choices to the left of the photo. One of them is "Change Page." A whole bunch of sub-choices are then available by clicking on Change Page. The very first one is "Change Size." Click on that one.

Once you do that, a window will open to the left of your photo that has 3 ways to change the size of your photo. The third one is for Resolution. Just click the down arrow by the 600, which is apparently the default setting. Then choose from one of the four or five choices you will see (i.e., 1200, 600, 300, 150, 72), or just delete the default number of 600 and type in any number of your own choosing.

Microsoft has another program called Digital Image Pro 7.0 that has a similar format for resizing a photo. I used that program sometimes, tho I have since moved on to a far more advanced and more fun program called Ulead PhotoImpact 8. But in the Microsoft Digital Image Pro, when you select one of those Resolution options, the screen also shows you how many "kb" your photo will be at that Resolution. In that program, I usually found that a resolution of around 400 to 500 will result in a photo of about 75 kb, which will post on the board. You don't want a photo that will be over 100 kb, as it is unlikely to be accepted by the Temp File. And I have found that a photo under 30kb usually looks too small when posted.

Hope this helps. [The Ulead program is sooooo much easier. It has a slider bar under a thumbnail of your photo. As you go either way with the slide bar, you can see how many kbs it will decrease or increase.]

hum not sure....Gary oh Gary ..please help?!

in the mean time if you want you can email me the picture..and I'll size and post it for you...smile...ce
