and what signs should I look for. She is 7 months old and the only thing she has ever been treated for was a yeast infection in her one ear-daughter bathed her and didn't dry ears well couple days later yeast infection. I am also concerned because I did want to breed her once but I don't want this to be something that she will pass to her pups. Please help. I am reallu upset that my beautiful Mia may lose her hair more than anything else. She has become more than my pet. She is my devoted companion and I know I am rambling but just the thought.
ALL DOGS HAVE THE MITE
IT DEPENDS ON YOUR DOGS IMMUNE SYSTEM IF IT GIVE HER A PROBLEM. KEEP HER IMMUNE SX BOOSED BY GIVING HER VITAMINS.
PET TAB
VIT C
VIT E
CALCIUM
AND FEED A HIGH QUALITY FOOD
ALSO MAKE SURE YOU WATCH HER AFTER ANY SHOTS AND BEFORE A HEAT CYCLE. MAKE SURE THAT HER IMMUNE SX IS STRONG BEFORE THIS.
RE:
Puppies are very susceptable to getting mange. Alot of times they just get stressed out from going to a new home and come down with it.
Just keep an eye on Mia, first Daisy got a really strange odor to her, a day after a bath she was smelly again. Then she started shedding REALLY bad, and finally the hair on her legs started thinning out.
We treated Daisy from 5 1/2 mths old to 10 mths old. The vet did tell me that sometimes for whatever reason it can come back. Just to be safe I am continuing with supplements. She gets 1 PetTab daily and 25 mg of Zinc.

Owner e-mail back this hair uneven but no scratching said can be
Wouldn;t there have been signs of this In Mia since she is going on 7 months old?
What I know about it...
Since Daisy had Mange I know a little about it. I don't think Mia will necessarily get mange but she could. If you keep her immune system built up I would think there is a good chance she won't get it. All dogs actually have the mange mites on them, it is only the dogs with a weak immune system (that is what is inherited) that come down with the actual mange. So work on building up her immune system with vitamins and she just may not get it. Good luck!!
I don't know anything about the breeding stuff, sorry!

I'm no help,
but I am so sorry it has you so shook up. If anything does come of it, at least she has someone who loves her so much. Another owner might not be so kind.
