What does everyone feel their responsibility is as a stud dog owner to the clients that use your studs? Give them semen & forget them? Or help in anyway you can by educating them on the care of newborn bulldog puppies? I have gotten so many calls from new litter owners that don't have a clue because their stud owner does not give them guidance. I realize that it is the new litter owners responsibility to research this & educate themselves as much as possible but don't you think that a stud dog owner should be guiding them along the way not disappearing after the stud fee is collected?

IMO the new litter owner should have researched
before having a litter and be prepared but yes as a stud dog owner I think you should offer as much advice as needed.

I am very fussy with who I would allow to use my boy so I would have to know them quite well anyway.
im there all i can be, i have been over to help puppies
attach to the nipple as well as finding home for puppies.
I want to be involved.
I help who ever needs it.

I think you need to help when possible.
I know my first litter I had a few e-mail questions.Even if it's not your first litter I think we all have some kind of questions?Just like people do with medical questions on this and other forums.
I won't accept
I will not allow anyone to breed to my stud dogs unless they have someone close by that has the knowledge and time to help them thru their first whelping. I mostly try to talk people out of breeding that just want to have babies for the fun of it or to have their children go thru the experience. Not everyone has the time, money, knowledge and paitence to handle pups and I point that out.
